I Still Live
And here's the proof:

There's me in front of the computer in my new digs.
Sophie survived too.

No, she's not wearing eyeliner. That's just the way she looks. I think she's related to Richard Alpert from Lost.
And I have my cat. And one of my mum's cats (he's very shy and kept getting out of the backyard--she was worried about something happening to him because he's hard to catch and bring in at night, so I took him).

Jilly-Bean L, Marcus (the "new" one) R
And--at last--my bunny Caboose. He's mellowed with age and no longer tries to attack me when I pet him. No more pets, though, unless an abandoned/injured one ends up on my doorstep.
And, okay, so yeah, my mum ran into some rabbits at a farm where one was really scuffed up after being attacked by all the others, so she took him home and I ended up with him. I named him Othello. I'll return with bunny pics later this week when I have time.
I'm whittling down the work emails while trying not to pull out my hair (I've missed three weeks, so PLEASE everyone give me a break), then hope to get to the personal ones. And then I have to set up my next session with my nutritionist. And finish unpacking things. And clean--god, have I mentioned how much fucking cleaning I have to do?
Surprisingly, I've done some writing. Not a lot, mind you, but I think the time off finally loosened my brain. It's just a matter of narrowing down which of the WIPs to focus on. I'd like Wounded done for my mum to read by Christmas, I'm 2500 into an unexpected sequel to Soulless, and I've given myself a goal to get CotA 3-16 done by July 15th (this was April's unfinished chapter...don't laugh). And the ominous countdown on the homepage tells me I should get it done STAT.
I'll be back this week with oodles of links to awesome things I read during the break, some more totally deep thoughts on various fascinating things, and an interview with Sarah-Jane Lehoux (just as soon as I get the questions done...I think it needs more zombies). And yes, with bunnies. Because everyone loves bunnies, except for my allergies.
And on this cloudy day, here's a tune for you.
