Waverly Jones Mysteries

A woman with long dark hair holds a camera and is looking to the right with it. The text says "Misanthropic. Obsessive. Manipulative. Resting Sociopath Face. Talks to the hallucination of her dead sister. What more can you ask for in a private investigator? Waverly Jones mysteries."

Waverly Jones has always been fascinated with true crime–and that fascination turned to obsession eleven years ago when her sister was killed, thought to be the last victim of a now-dormant serial killer, and the primary detective on the case went missing. She hates people, has anxiety, and wears what’s been called Resting Sociopath Face with pride, but none of that has stopped her from becoming a successful private investigator. A new serial killer draws her back to her hometown where she still hopes to find out more about what happened to her sister–and where her teenage crush Detective Sebastian Kyle disappeared to.

Four hardcover books in a row, all with vintage Nancy Drew style covers and yellow spines, listing what comes with them (maps, behind the scenes, bonus stories, recipes)

Nancy Drew homage alternate covers will be on the special edition hardcovers with bonus features. Releasing alongside the ebook and paperback editions, available on Amazon (and sometimes directly from me).

Reviews and Endorsements

“The dark and strangely comforting mystery I didn’t know I needed in my life.” – Errant Dreams

“The Killing Beach is first in a twisty, intriguing thriller mystery series. New heroine Waverly has a calm, spooky Jessica Jones vibe that I immediately loved. Highly recommend.” – Sue London, Bestselling Author (historical romance)

“The Killing Beach is a masterful addition to the mystery genre that both pays homage to the themes we know and love, while simultaneously breathing new life into them. Complex, calculating, and unapologetically herself, Waverly Jones is the modern PI character you’ve been waiting for.” – Michelle Manus, author of the Nyx Fortuna series

“Five stars. F#cking hell.” – Krista D. Ball, author of the Ladies Occult Society series

“Astounding. “The Killing Beach” simultaneously honors and subverts classic noir tropes. Cameron’s careful attention to realistic detail makes everything feel creepily plausible, and makes set pieces that could easily sink into cliché urgent and vivid. Waverly likes to think of herself as unlikeable, but I like her a lot, and I’m very glad there are several more books in the series in the works.” – A. Lee Welles

“Waverly Jones is antisocial and strange, obsessive and a little creepy, and I would die for her.” – Ann Aguirre, New York Times & USA Today bestselling author

Extras (Novellas & Shorts)

A mostly blank journal in paperback for Waverly Jones readers who want to go the extra mile and chronicle their observations. This also includes the timeline surrounding the Port Milton cycle of Crossroads Butcher killings, maps with noted locations, and other Waverly doodles and notes as surprises throughout.

February 2025 in paperback. Buy at Amazon.

Mystery at Red Fox Lake is a prequel story that sends Waverly to Whitehorse for an investigation. It was free gift to people who preordered The Killing Beach. Currently only available in the special hardcover edition. Eventually will be part of the First Dates (that end badly) collection.

Haunting at Hayward House is a novella set directly after Silent All These Years (Waverly 4) and was an exclusive with the Storybundle release of The Killing Beach. Waverly is hired to investigate a supposedly haunted house. It’s available in the Waverly 4 hardcover.

A cover in black and white that says "The Missing Pieces". It's of a woman with a camera taking a picture but looks like it's broken into puzzle pieces. The other text says "Snapshots from the Waverly Jones Mystery series"

What I’m Working On:

Writing Elis 5. Also kind of sort of writing Waverly 8.

I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
