These are all extras. The West stories in particular might add different layers to the main series but they are not necessary to enjoy the books.

The series is ending prematurely (that post has some details and links to a longer one) and I have no ETA on that.

This decision broke my heart but was made for the sake of my health due to high levels of theft, hatemail, and the ensuing stress admist extremely low sales. I want to give it a satisfying conclusion, but trying to end a series early while sales have dropped off a cliff has made this difficult to revisit.

To repeat from my FAQ page: If you would like an idea of the numbers, Charon’s Gold came out three and a half years ago (Oct 2022). It has sold around 350 copies total; of that, 17 copies sold in all of 2025. These books take around two years to research, write, revise, and edit. Given the sharp drop off in sales after the fifth, the fact that in over three years Charon’s Gold has made just enough to cover one month’s rent for me, I don’t expect the seventh book to sell more than a few dozen copies.

It’s very demoralizing. This upsets people, I know, but this is how I make my living; I cannot afford to spend two years on something no one will buy. Please stop yelling at me. Yelling, complaining, nagging, and harassing me just delays it further.

I have no further information to share about the series outside what I have told Patreon recently (Dec 2025). (Patrons, please actually read my posts before you get mad at me.)
