These are all extras. The West stories in particular might add different layers to the main series but they are not necessary to enjoy the books.

The series is ending prematurely (that post has some details and links to a longer one) and I have no ETA on that.

This decision broke my heart but was made for the sake of my health due to high levels of theft, hatemail, and the ensuing stress. I want to give it a satisfying conclusion, but this has meant I have to rearrange things to make it a series end and try to reconnect with the characters and world after so much stress, which is very hard to do, and series sales have dropped off a cliff.

To repeat from my FAQ page: If you would like an idea of the numbers, Charon’s Gold came out three years ago (as of Nov 2025). It has sold around 350 copies total; of that, 17 copies sold this year. It will take me a year to research and write the seventh book, a year to edit and revise it, and by that point sales for this series will have dropped to nothing and I genuinely do not expect the final book to even reach 100 copies sold; I will be surprised if it sells even 50. That’s two years of my life devoted to something that will make less than $400 (probably less than $200) and that will be stolen more than bought.

Pretty much every time I try to pull out the seventh, I’m severely demoralized. This upsets people, I know, but I cannot magically make this book happen, so please do not yell at me. To write this book, I have to do so for me rather than because I feel obligated, and that has not been possible.

I’m not presently working on it. I have no further information to share.
