Just for the record, I *would* watch Twilight if Buffy was in it. Otherwise, please don't tell me I need to see it because I like vampires. Yes, I like vampire stories, but not when the vamps fucking sparkle, and not when they attempt to normalize misogyny and dysfunctional relationships for teenagers. And before you bring it up, yes, I write some pretty fucking dysfunctional relationships, but a) my target market isn't teen girls whose brains aren't fully formed yet and are influenced by this shit, b) I never pretend they're NOT dysfunctional and messed up, and c) my heroines don't throw themselves off of cliffs because their boyfriends don't like them anymore. Please go read the Cracked article on the subject and stop talking to me about fucking Twilight.
