ATTENTION TO THOSE LOOKING FOR A FREE DOWNLOAD OF RIVER:
Look, I know free stuff is great and all, but I'm getting a little pissed off about the number of people who reach my site looking for free copies of River to download.
River is NOT available for free. It is commercially published. Obtaining a copy without paying for it--unless via a legit contest--is theft. Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm of the downloading generation, so I've heard this speech too. I'm like 'the man' trying to keep you down or something like that. And I think you should be able to read things for free: I offer free stories for fans to read, and you'll find it in the "eSerials" section of my site.
Enjoy my writing? Want to read more? Well, you know what would be really awesome? If you showed your thanks by BUYING my commercially published work rather than ripping me off. I'm a small press author: I'm not rich, I'll never be rich, and yes, every bit helps. And don't give me some BS about how you can't find River for purchase in your country--last I checked, very few countries are unable to order my work in paperback, and EVERYONE can order it in eBook. Yes, everyone. Even in India. Ahem.
Please don't be a douchebag. Fork out the $6 USD ($5 if you hunt around) for River as an eBook and stop coming here looking for it. Otherwise, please go find a rich writer to steal from. There are...like...maybe three of them in existence.
