Genevieve Weist ~ She's gifted in visual arts, though enjoys any creative endevour. While at first glance she appears to be a typical slacker, if it means pursuing something she's interested in, she is highly ambitious. An only child, Gen lives with her mum and dad, and her beloved rotweiller, Penny. Gen lives a quiet, though uneventful life, which suits her just fine.
Physical Appearance: About six feet tall; thick blonde hair that falls below her waist; blue eyes; slender build; pale complexion; sense of style considered "quirky"; usually barefoot, at least as long as it isn't winter; ancestry is English, Scottish, Dutch, and French.



Sage Bethany ~ Levi's big crush for the past two years--and unfortuantely, she's also his older brother's girlfriend. She has one full sister, Kat, and another adopted sister, Cecilia Sui Wai. Highly antisocial, and keeps to herself most of the time.
Physical Appearance: 5'5"; black hair (in shoulder-length braids at the beginning, cut quite short later); dark brown complexion and smooth, flawless skin; brown eyes; athletic build; usually wears track pants and t-shirts; ancestry includes Jamaican, Italian, and Indian.




Meredith "Merri" McCreary ~ Only recently a resident of Newhaven, Merri hasn't many friend yet. A very private person, little is known about Merri's background or family. Generally quiet, Merri goes unnoticed by most. The others don't completely trust her, but for Michael who has a unique understanding with her.
Physical Appearance: Height is about 5'4"; slightly heavier build; brown eyes; medium complexion with some freckles;wavy shoulder-length hair that's usually pulled back, coloured dark brown though the roots show auburn (as do her brows); casual clohing; ancestry is Irish and English.




Michael Parris ~ It is unknown who exactly he is, or why he decided to take on the task of gathering the Children of the Apocalypse--especially because he seems to despise the job so--but he is the one who seems to know the most about them and can best train them. Merri was the one he met first, and together they tracked down the others in Newhaven. He has an intense dislike of Genevieve, which becomes okay with her because she fails to see what makes him so great anyway. Michael has secrets, many of which are known by Merri, and none that he wishes the others to find out.
Physical Appearance: Around six feet tall; short dark brown hair; clear green eyes; age unknown but looks to be mid twenties; athletic, but strong build; dresses in dark, casual clothing; ancestry is English.


Levi Greene ~ Genevieve's best friend since grade school. Growing up, he had a huge crush on Genevieve, but he eventually gave that up due to her preference for her own gender. Now his affections are focused on Sage, who is dating his brother and has no interest in him. He's on the Newhaven Phoenixes basketball team, which hasn't won a game in years but is proud of their losing streak, and while he is one, he dislikes other jocks.
Physical Appearance: Tall; somewhat wirey build; tanned; hazel eyes; short, messy brown hair; dresses in tear-away pants and t-shirts or sweatshirts, often bearing the school's logo, or the basketball team's logo.


Hayden Greene ~ Levi's older brother and Sage's boyfriend. He's been with Sage for two years, and is dreading heading off to college in a year and having to leave her. Hayden makes friends wherever he goes, and many are drawn to his upbeat personality, and people are usually shocked to learn he's always wanted to be an accountant. Hayden loves video games, and especially loves Spider-man.
Physical Appearance: Though older than Levi by two years, he's a good four inches shorter, coming in at 5'8"; short brown hair; medium build; hazel eyes; straight white teeth flash when he frequently smiles.


Stephie Meyers ~ A good friend of Levi and Genevieve's since ninth grade. It is unknown whether her astoundingly poor attention span is something she was born with, or due to the fact she's usually stoned.
Physical Appearance: Height depends on the size of the heels or platforms she's wearing, normally she's 5'6"; curvy build; blonde hair streaked black; brown eyes; dresses punk/goth.


Peyton Rice ~ New girl in school that both Gen and Levi instantly take a liking to. Cute, incredibly clumsy, and quite talkative--she's someone people can't help but like.
Physical Appearance: Average height and build; prefers cute, semi-trendy clothing; long curly dark hair, often worn in pigtails; olive skin; brown eyes.


Krysta Guerin ~ Beautiful and mysterious, Krysta is yet another someone Genevieve doesn't trust, though it could stem from her questionable taste in men.
Physical Appearance: Age indeterminable but probably around thirty; medium brown skin; straight brown hair streaked with blonde; dark eyes; curvy build and average height.


Thaddeus Kincaid ~ David Shaw's former student, asked by Michael to obtain some information. Takes a near immediate liking to Merri.
Physical Appearance: average height; early twenties; dark brown hair; brown eyes; kind of goofy grin, but sweet.


Diana Bethany ~ Sage's mother. Much of Sage's strength comes from her mother and the example she's given her, and the two have a good relationship.


Kat Bethany ~ Sage's younger sister.


Isis "Izzy" Marx ~ Resident trouble maker, possibly with Oppositional Definace Disorder.


Janine Marlin-Garcia ~ Genevieve's long time crush, and, as Gen puts it, "the only other open lesbian in this lame ass town, so who else would I like? There aren't really a lot of options." Has a girlfriend who attends high school in a neighbouring town. Best friend named "Lisa Anne."


Rebecca and Leo Weist ~ Genevieve's parents.


Florence Kern ~ Genevieve's nightmare of a English teacher, and disliked by many students. She's middle aged with a frightening sense of fashion, and, strangely, is the assistant coach of the boys basketball team.


David Shaw ~ former philosophy professor, Natalya's old lover.
