Comment Policy

I should have had one of these from the start. My apologies.

First of all, I LOVE comments. Seriously. There's nothing I love more than to hear from readers (except for money) and it would thrill me to have more discussion here among users.

That being said, we do need some rules.

1. Please don't abuse the points feature. Yes, you receive points for comments posted, however this is conditional on comments having substance. I'm sure I've said it elsewhere, but to repeat, an "LOL" or smiley, etc, does not count. Points will be deducted if this is done too often. I don't have any real guidelines for what counts as a comment of substance or not--but, like porn, I know abuse when I see it.

2. Please keep spoiler discussion within the actual chapter threads where the spoilers occur. Please don't, for example, go back and post a spoiler about a future event on an old chapter (or poll) as new people do come here all the time to read, and we don't want the surprise ruined for them. Those comments will be deleted and points removed.

3. Debate and discussion is encouraged. Trash talk and flame wars...not so much. Keep it civil, folks.

Please don't abuse the comment policy. This creates a lot of extra work for the people administering the site and we don't want to have to heavily monitor the comments. People who repeatedly violate this policy will have their accounts temporarily suspended and points reset to zero.

I don't want to discourage comments--really--but I also don't want to see things abused.
