Interesting change. I just hope it doesn't make the story veer into cliched paranormal romance territory. You've done a good job of it so far, but there's enough of a paranormal romance group out there that every time there is a hint that two main characters might get sexually or romantically involved it sets off little warning bells in the back of my head.
I remember in previous chapters that there was some connection between them, so it wasn't entirely out of the blue, but not something I was expecting either.
