This story was to act as a) thanks to everyone for sticking around and checking out the new website, and b) an introduction to some new characters that I'll be carrying over to the new serial.
Back to CotA (which isn't going anywhere--it'll be back January 1st), we briefly visit here Janine and Gen in the summer between Part Two and Part Three. The reader finally gets a glimpse of Janine (who might get a POV scene in the book--I don't know yet), which should hopefully please people who wanted a Janine short story way back when.
