#1 Okay, the reality kids is
Okay, the reality kids is that I don't have time to write anymore.
I work twelve hours a day at multiple jobs so that I can pay the bills, and have to take another two hours a day of walking to get my dog to the puppy sitter. As a result, I don't have time to keep up a weekly serial anymore. I can't keep kidding myself, pretending that I can do all this. In addition to my free serials, Children of the Apocalypse and Curio Killed the Cat, I have three books under contract with a publisher that I have delivered yet, and another couple important projects on the go.
So I'm leaving it up to you. Rather than abandon everything completely, I'm asking what you would like to see. I can keep up with similar chapters as they are now, but posted every other week, or I could do longer ones (like with CotA) and post them in the middle of the month (so that, if you follow CotA and Curio, you get a new chapter of something approximately every two weeks).
Please share your thoughts, and try not to yell at me.
#2 Thank you SO much to everyone
Thank you SO much to everyone for the comments, vote, and support.
I think what I'll try to do is come back in June and do biweekly chapter postings for awhile. One of my part time jobs will be over next month (until October), so I'll have some free time for awhile to get caught up. I think what I'll do is finish up this Curio arc (several more chapters), leave it on a cliffhanger (maniacal laughter), and then take a month or so to write a bunch of chapters to get ahead before starting up the new arc.
Thank you again! I have the bestest readers. Kisses!
#3 While I did vote, I think you
While I did vote, I think you should do what is best for you. Times are hard and getting harder, and you'll be no good to anyone for anything if you break yourself by trying to do too much for too long. Do what you can. Do what you need to do first, and everything else as you have time.

#4 I agree with the second
I agree with the second comment. You should do whatever's right for you and try not to worry too much. Life happens, despite anyone's best intentions, and people should be able to understand that. It happens to everyone, after all. Also, since you're giving away free fiction, no one really has any right to complain.
Cheers,
Shayne
#5 Do what pays first,
Do what pays first, especially in this economy. So if that means the free stuff falls by the wayside for a while, then that's what happens. Unless of course all us loyal readers dig deep into our own pockets and fork out a whole lotta cash so you don't have to work 2-3 jobs anymore. I'm with Shayne, its free fiction so who am I to complain if it doesn't update as regularly?? I voted for the 15th of the month chapters, but really if the hiatus works better for you then just do that
I'll still be checking randomly anyways in hopes of seeing what Michael is up to!
If I ever win the Canadian dream myself Skyla, you'll be the first webwriter to get some cash
I'd best go buy a ticket....or perhaps go get a job myself...
#6 I like the 15th of every
I like the 15th of every month idea, though I also feel that the short chapters fit the story. So I say short chapters on the 15th, and longer CotA chapters two weeks later
