Yeah, you'll find I have plenty of snarky characters...'cause I'm snarky...snarkiness is the best. Eye

I really dislike first chapters when it comes to serials--there's a lot of pressure to write something compelling to hook readers right away. This one came fairly smoothly, in part because I wrote from Briar's POV, and she's a very strong personality.
