Oh, I know times are difficult for everyone. And that's why I'm uncomfortable with forcing people to pay for chapters and why I went with the points system for new CotA chapters. If users earn 50 points, they can read until December (at which time I'm reevaluating things), and those 50 points can be earned anyway. Five reviews written on the various serial review sites would net 50 points and all that costs is a little time. I'm certainly not interested in demanding money from people in the same financial position as me--I'm just burned out and can't keep up with the way things are going. And I'm pretty sure I alienated more than a few readers, but I figured it was high time at least one author spoke out about how frustrating it can be to work this job for free. (This would be why I was always terrible at making friends LOL)
Also, I'm disappointed Briar and Sebastian didn't hook up as well because they're totally cute. But then I don't like to make things too easy on characters. Briar, I think, is still unsure of what she wants. Once she finally figures that out, though...well, look out world.
