Once again, I couldn't show any of Briar's vulnerabilities from her point of view. Had to go with Lilith.

I'm glad Toby stuck around in the morning--I think he has a moral fiber or two in him after all. But definitely not three.

Two chapters left, and then Curio's done indefinitely. I think there's a certain level of irony in me writing a story about people struggling to keep their jobs and pay their bills when I can't afford groceries.
