Zara Lain
Vampire, thief, and assassin. Zara's number one concern is Zara and she never claims otherwise.
Mishka Thiering
A young witch and Zara's best friend. They met years prior to the start of the story, when Mishka was just sixteen and she found Zara stealing from her parents' mansion. She often provides leads and assassination contacts for Zara.
Nate O'Connor
A seemingly inept warlock that Zara is hired to kill. Frequently broods and is far less impressed with Zara than she is with herself.
Jamie
Sexy fellow vampire whose arrogance and snarky sense of humour almost rivals that of Zara herself.

Mishka's mother and a powerful witch.
